Light a Red Candle for Palestine

Together, we’re reclaiming the Christian holidays as sacred times to stand as the global Church for justice and peace in Palestine.

Two years of genocide in Gaza. Ongoing violence in the West Bank. Generations of displacement, injustice, and unhealed wounds.

Yet, as Christians turn their gaze to Bethlehem and Jerusalem during the holy times of Christmas and Easter, many overlook or even condone the violence perpetuated against Palestinians and Palestinian Christians, whose communities and traditions trace back to the times of the earliest church.

Red Candle was born from a simple conviction: our faith compels us to chart a new path.

One where Christians become a powerful force for justice and reconciliation—not only in Palestine and Israel, but across our world.

Shining the Light for Palestine

Red Candle is a nonviolent movement for justice and peace in Palestine. Leveraging the Christian holidays, we invite Christians and interfaith allies to stand in costly solidarity with Palestinians through prayer, action, and advocacy.

Together, we’re rejecting apathy and challenging theological distortions—such as Christian Zionism—that sanctify violence and obscure the dignity of all people made in God’s image.

Through a simple, shared practice—lighting a red candle—we seek to platform Palestinian stories, awaken global conscience, and fiercely advocate for a future of mutual liberation and flourishing.
